50 Tips For Your Direct Sales Business
These are 50 really good tips I’ve collected for running your Direct Sales/MLM business.
Now, I’m sure you can’t do all; in-fact, I would be surprised to see anyone do all 50; at least not consistently. I think doing at least a few of them, you will be surprised at how far your business will go.
I added a little flare of my own to some, you will see this in italics.
1. USE THE PRODUCTS or SERVICES on a regular basis - It’s a fact that when people see you using whatever it is your promoting, they are more likely to trust and jump in behind you.
2. Make a TOTAL COMMITMENT for at least one year to do your best. Don’t be a “program hopper”, you never win this way. make a full commitment and give it your all; you will succeed.
3. SELL YOURSELF first – on the company, the products, and the compensation plan. You must enjoy what you do and believe in it before expecting others too.
4. Spend 90% of your business time with distributors, customers and prospects. This is good advice, but remember to leave some time for family, friends and life outside the business as well. A good balance is very important!
5. TALK to at least ONE person daily on the products and opportunity. RECOMMEND the products and business to them. Be Sincere. Many marketers find out the hard way that there is a thin line between talking business and being pushy; work on it and try not to cross that line.
6. LET EVERYONE KNOW what business you are in. Promote what you love to do! Again, don’t be pushy. If you truly love what you do, your enthusiasm will shine through" read the rest of the story here

It is hard to sell a product you don't use yourself. It can be done, but it is soooo much easier if you are a satisfied customer yourself.
And that part about making the commitment for at least one year. I have two friends who became millionaires in two different programs. For three years, they handed out brochures to everyone they met. In the third year, their businesses began to take off. Between year 3 and year 5, they started taking home over $100,000 a month.
I was online as a part time internet marketer for five years before I was able to quit my job and make it online. I now make $150,000 a year and growing. No secret formula except I am with a couple of companies I am proud to be with, am familiar with the products because I use them, and have gladly recommended them to people who I had absoulutely no opportunity to sell to...and I didn't quit.
